Melanie
Melanie a little girl full of joy and fun,
so pretty with her long black hair,
smile bright as any sun
could run rings around your heart
and fill your life with love.
She must have been an angel sent from up above.
That She loved God
and Jesus that was sure
and If you could have met her
you would have known her heart was pure.
Mel' grew up,got married, and raised a family;
She taught them all the lessons that
she had learned,at her mothers knee.
The years went by, her children grew
it seemed the sun would shine,
Upon her life forever, everthing was fine!
That She loved God
and Jesus that was sure
and If you could have met her
you would have known her heart was pure.
But her life was to change so much in the coming
years,
As she was diagnosed with cancer, confirming her
worst fears.
She fought a daily battle and for a while she won,
the fight, even bought a new house to be closer
to her mum.
I saw her then and she looked well and happy, for
a while
and with her family around her,she again began
to smile.
That She loved God
and Jesus that was sure
and If you could have met her
you would have known her heart was pure.
Sadly after a while the fight was to start again
with all the sickness, that involved and the awful
pain.
Was she about to just give up,not a blooming chance,
With her love of life and family and faith that
did enhance,
her courage to go on. And give it her best go,
Would she just lie down to die,her answer a defiant,
"No"!
That She loved God
and Jesus that was sure
and If you could have met her
you would have known her heart was pure.
With fellow sufferers she found,a chat room on
the internet;
it was meeting place to share, and for a while forget.
They joined each other in the battle for thier
health,
whether poor as church mice,or had fabulous
wealth,
They had nicknames ,there was,'Bear' and 'Tink'
and 'Audley'
Mel,s lovely sense of humour,well,she called herself,.....'.BALDY
' !!
That She loved God
and Jesus that was sure
and If you could have met her
you would have known her heart was pure.
I was priviledged to meet her just one more precious
time,
She'd lost her lovely long black hair
And you could see the suffering that she did have
to bear.
But not for a moment did she give up her true faith,
You could see she may be losing this terrible
long race.
I said goodbye that last time,I said," I'll
see you soon again".
She shook her head and said "I don't think so my
friend.
That She loved God
and Jesus that was sure
and If you could have met her
you would have known her heart was pure.
Mel' passed away that summer, and softly sleeps
above
In heaven with dear Jesus and the God she loved.
I shall never forget!!
Melanie a little girl full of joy and fun,
so pretty with her long black hair,
smile bright as any sun
could run rings around your heart
and fill your life with love.
She must have been an angel sent from up above.
